Austria is absolutely beautiful in the summer, with alfresco dining and numerous village festivals friendly locals and stunning scenery you will be sure to return.  In the village of Maria Alm alone there is BMX trails, amazing outdoor lido with restaurant, summer gondola, crazy golf, mountain biking, swimming, lakes, summer toboganning, walking trails, climbing, basketball, small skateboard park, horseriding, (see summer gallery).  And in the local region the opportunities are endless including Krimml waterfalls, caves, numerous lidos, Lake Zell am See (like beach in summer) including watersports/boat trips etc. Maria Alm is also a popular destination for golfers, with Urstlautal Golf course only half a mile away (see golf information main menu).

 

There is a programme of organised childrens activties in 'Maria Alm' running throughout the summer months which will entertain the children from young through to teenagers.

The village of 'Maria Alm' is like a fairytake in summer with its window boxes filled with flowers and a real cafe culture in the village square with live music and dancing weekly and numerous festivals throughout the year, particulalrly May-Oct and especially Sept/Oct Harvest festivals.
